The aim of this study was to examine trends in structural and technological changes of wheat quality under conditions typical of climate changes. With this in mind, three groups of …
The grain processing quality of wheat exhibited increasing trends with decreasing low temperature level (from T1 to T4) and increasing low temperature duration (from D1 to D3) for both cultivars, and the processing quality was more sensitive to low temperature at booting than at jointing (Fig. 4 and Table 2). Moreover, the processing …
The term "wheat quality" usually refers to the processing quality, which is mainly dependent on the content and characteristics of storage proteins in wheat grains (Shewry and Halford, 2002; Ma et al., 2019) and directly determines wheat's market price …

Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is one of the most important agricultural crops worldwide.Due to its high content of starch and unique gluten proteins, wheat grain is used for many food and non-food applications. Although grain quality is an important topic for food and feed as well as industrial processing, the consequences of future increases in …
Cooking of grains generally increases digestibility of nutrients and phytochemicals. Studies in both animal models and humans support the notion that processed grains are often nutritionally superior to unprocessed grains, probably because of enhanced nutrient bioavailability in processed grains. Processing of grains also provides shelf-stable ...
Environmental variables have important effects on wheat grain protein accumulation and processing quality, although wheat quality is a genotype-dependent trait. Moderately high temperature, proper ...
Rice grain quality is a complex trait that reflects the opinions of producers, processors, sellers and consumers in regard to production, processing, marketing and consumption of the grain. It can be roughly divided into milling quality, appearance quality, cooking and sensory quality, nutrition quality and hygiene quality. Milling quality …
The aim of this work was to review the recent advances in research carried out to date for purposes of evaluation of nutritional quality and potential health benefits of millet grains. Processing technologies used for improving the edible and nutritional characteristics of millet as well as challenges, limitations, and future perspectives to ...
Processing quality is an important economic wheat trait. The marker-assisted selection (MAS) method plays a vital role in accelerating genetic improvement of processing quality. In the present study, processing quality in a panel of 165 cultivars grown in four environments was evaluated by mixograph. An association mapping …
Dried grains are stored in bulk until required for processing. The grains should be inspected regularly for signs of spoilage and the moisture content tested. If the grain has picked up moisture it should be re -dried. Grains are often protected with insecticides and must be stored in rodent-proof containers. 3.- Raw materials:
The quality 200 proof ethyl alcohol market has seen many shortages during the pandemic, and this trend will continue with the recent exit of suppliers. Family-owned Grain Processing Corporation has been the trusted go to market leader for low moisture, benzene free, high purity 200 proof pure and denatured alcohol since 1945.

The Beginning. Grain Processing Corporation (GPC) started a legacy of entrepreneurship, innovation, and unsurpassed quality when the company was founded February 11, 1943, by S.G. Stein and G.A. Kent, in Muscatine, Iowa. The company began as a government industrial alcohol plant, part of the World War II synthetic rubber program.
Emissions reduced by 93% at our Muscatine grain processing plant. Facilities run entirely on natural gas. Entire corn kernel is used to make our high-quality products, thereby reducing waste. Corn sourced from local Midwestern farms. Since 2015, reduced amount of solid waste going to landfill by 90%.
However, the correct storage conditions have a beneficial impact on the preservation of the original food nutrient content and also increase the supply of some nutrients and overall product quality. Figure 31.1 highlighted the effect of long-term storage on nutritional and processing quality of wheat grains. Fig. 31.1.
